Zombie Christmaszilla Shoppers

If someone passes me another Christmas card to write or a Christmas gift to wrap I will probably end up in jail.

Don’t get me wrong I do love the old festive season, but when mother nature knocks on the door (i.e. That time of the month) I can’t help but put on my scrooge head on and be a bah humbug.

Hubby and son are in bed, whilst I have been putting together the last of my gifts. Don’t get me wrong I have all my gifts. I hope so anyway, and just when I thought I had completed all the wrapping of my gifts and writing of my cards, there is always that little pain in the arse gift or card that pops in your head, like a light bulb, saying “No one more, one more”, I am like “No I don’t want one more”.

I know, I know I didn’t have to buy that nice bottle of liquor and glasses or that nice coffee mug set, but I did. So got two more gifts to wrap by the weekend, and I will be well and truly done.

I think I am gonna be one of those crazy women from now on, who as soon as I find a Christmas gift, as I start looking from January onwards, and will start to wrap them up from January onwards, and make my Christmas cards from then on too, and buy some in the sales.

I just hate the last minute mad rush.

I avoid the high streets now, like the plague. All gifts are bought in advanced or I will buy most of them online. I just can’t bear long queues, I don’t even bother when shopping in my local Poundland if I can help it, if there is a big massive queue.

If I do shop in town, I do so early in the morning as soon as the shops are open, and midweek if possible when most people will be at work.

I will not even think about shopping at the weekends during Christmas as I know it will be busy and some have this zombie Christmaszilla shopping attitude, where they are so busy shopping and rushing, that they don’t even see you walking in front of them. NO. They walk into you as if you aren’t there.

Or they tut at you because you are waiting patiently behind them to get passed with your pushchair and look at the pushchair and then at you, with menace “What right do you have to have this child in this pushchair behind me?”, Like you own the cash point or the store, get a grip.

No sorry I do not like Zombie Christmaszilla Shoppers I call them, they only seem to come out at Christmas time. Every other time of the year, these people wouldn’t probably say a word but Christmas time, is a whole different ball game to these people.

They take no strangers and you better not get in their way or they will give you that look, as only they have the right to shop.

Well they are well and truly welcome.

So going to go to bed now as got a busy day tomorrow, but I will blog again in the next few days.

Many thanks for reading,

Carrie X
